No. The PS3 didn't get a price drop so soon and certainly not by 32%.

It needed to sell decently, so in the end, it's the same. PS3 needed a huge price drop and different models to sell.

Still not comparable. The 3DS came out a year ahead of its competitor and was super cheap compared to it. Not so with the PS3.
