Soooo let me get this straight-   He "obviously"  can t confirm the identity of the "source" and all further emails went unanswered BUT HE BELIEVES the source to be genuine!!!   What a powerhouse journalist.       I wonder if he will give me his bank accont info so i can deposit millios of dollars into it for him to hold for me while i escape my war toorn country?

Name gives it away as fake. Even if Nintendo was making a VR system, no way would they name it such that it drew comparisons to their biggest hardware flop.

That would be like Sega making a new console but opting to call it the 32X-2 or Sony wanting to keep the Vita name. 

That just reeks of a fanboy making up a story and thinking "gee, this would be a neat name" without really thinking about it.

They are not going to announce new hardware this E3. Next one is the big one with details and release same year.

well, first off - I think Nintendos next "platform" will be a tablet, which can easily connect to the TV and wireless controllers making it a full console

such a tablet could just as easily be tranformed into a VR device (if the resolution is high enough) similar to how smartphones are with google cardboard and the like

but Nintendo afaik already said there will be nothing about NX at E3 and the name VRtual Boy obviously is junk, so I give this particular rumor a 5% chance at best

I doubt it, would not make much sense imo. Nintendo is not trying to compete, they would rather create something new that no one did yet.
