Execpt for the fact that PD currently doesn't have the manpower to work on a remasterd collection since they are busy working on GT7.  If it happens expect it to be outsourced to a different developer like the 360 version of Forza Horizon 2 which was done by Sumo Digital instead of Playground games.  Speaking of Sumo Digital they could do it since they already worked with the PS4 since they developed Little Big Planet 3.  Although since they done a decent enough job with the 360 version of Horizon 2 I wouldn't mind if MS hired them to bring back the PGR franchise.

Except that remasters don't use manpower that needs to be dedicated to new entries. You should read this post it'll help.

Well that post also mentioned that some of the remasterd games are done by different developer which would be the case with GT7 since they are not known for having a lot of manpower like I said before they are currently busy with GT7 and they still have some people working on DLC for GT6 so I highly doubt they have the extra manpower to also remaster all the previous games.

Not really it also talks about upgrading internal developers to get used to a new platform by making remasters. Also, how can they be understaffed for a remaster if remasters don't affect staffing?

Well you probably should do some more research about remastered games and ports and you will find out that most of them where done by different developers like Jak and Daxter Collection (Mass Media Inc.), The Sly Collection (Sansaru Games) and the example I already gave you with Forza Horizon 2.  PD currently has less employees then Naughty Dog and they didn't even have enough manpower to make the Uncharted Vita game.  What makes you think that PD has enough staff with spare time to remaster all the previous GT games.

I'm just telling you what Tachi said, she is in the field of game development. Should I not trust the judgement of someone who's in the field and in the know?

Even if some remasters were made by different developers it doesn't mean all remasters are. I think she works at Sony japan and she says that some internal staff (she mentioned new staff) learn to code for the new platforms by working on remasters.

Anyways I don't want to be pedantic but I'm just saying what people are saying, that remasters don't affect the development of main entries and it makes perfect sense to me. I still don't see how what you're saying helps me understand the contrary.

It's more then just some, I already gave you three examples without much research.  I stick by my point that PD currenly doesn't have the extra manpower or free staff to remaster all the previous GT games.  Playgroud Games didn't even have the manpower to port Horizon 2 to the 360 and that takes even less work then remastering a game and they have steadly hired new staff since they started work on the first Horizon game.

F-Zero GX for sure.
Baten Kaitos I and II bundled together :P
Xenosaga Trilogy
Crash Team Racing
Megaman X Command Mission
Bloodrayne I and II

I support the idea of the Siren trilogy, and perhaps even Fatal Frame I-III on Wii U.

I think you are missing what she is saying though by asking for something well beyond what any of the remasters have been in the last few years. You want 6 GT games with ps4 graphics and somehow think that would be nothing?

because she says "Rid yourself of the silly notion that remasters tie up a studio so much that it impacts their standard games. Because its completely and utterly wrong."

What is implied that you didn't pick us is that apllies to the games that have been remastered. Of the rematers in the last few years, most have been only up a generation and they aren't all done with all new assests of the current gen. You wern't seeing FFVII, Metal Gear, Spyro and various other games remastered with Ps3 pgraphics last gen.  Asking for a super labor intesive one and thinking it's nothing is taking some of what she said too litterally without considering that it aplies only to what has been done, not to the extreme wishes of fans, or those trying to exagerate attempting to make a point.

as for games I'd like to see.

Master of Magic

Alpha Centauri and it's expantion

Bully

The lost Vikings

Toobin

Various PS1 games that had graphics that aged poorly.

War of the Monsters

Exactly if it really would be super easy then none of the previous remastered games or ports would have been outsorced to different developers.

On WiiU I want fresh new games and new IPs, Nintendo really needs this. On everything else I want remasters, and lots of them because that's what I demand as a consumer.

To be specific, I want:

1) A GT collection and remaster: all the GT games in a collection pack with PS4-level graphics.

2) A bioshock collection and remaster: all 3 games that I can enjoy with today's tech. The games are awesome so they should be remade.

3) A borderlands collection and remaster: another great series, I want to see it in a much better resolution and enhanced graphics for both games.

4) A FF VII - IX collection remaster. I want all 3 games revisited, with completely revamped music quality and graphics.

5) A Capcom collection that includes the street fighter IV, Marvel vs Capcom 3 and SF x Tekken games. Of course with updated graphics.

compared to Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo pushes out way more quality new ideas and software, so if you're not happy as it is then there's not much to say. what unique title has Sony produced in the last year? it's hard to come up with one that wasn't done by a third party, things like Bloodborne aren't from Sony's hands obviously

I think Nintendo has tons of titles that would be great for remasters and that is something they don't like to do often, something that I think would help fill up some holes in terms of release space between big titles. it can't possibly be that hard for them to take something like Mario Sunshine and update it
