Not Exactly any proof, just speculation. Using Surperior tracker MC, Splatoon Debuted with about 145k sales FW and had an intial shipment of 150k.

What's the problem? T-bone clearly states it is speculation and he has put forth a reasonable (albeit overly optimistic) argument. It's a good thread that will foster discussion.

Supply being constrained would have forced some early addopters into buying digital over waiting for another shipment.

Have to agree. Should be around 20k digital copies sold. Hopefully this is the start of another big ip for Nintendo.

Just to add to that
Splatoon is the 2nd highest game digitally on the jp eshop
it has over 40k digital since last we heard of smash bros that had 43k(and its ahead of that).....
Its probably over 200k right now.

Wait, how do you know? Are you sure its best sellers? Is it really best sellers? If what your saying is true, theni can put under a weekof sales Splatoon is over 40k digital at least!

Im betting the digital number in japan was closer to 10,000 than 15,000 or more
5-10% is prob closer to the digital sales % of retail released games if not on the high side

Glad it s doing well in Japan - hope the success travels well since doing well in Japan is like being the tallest midget

My friend at vizioneck has ascess and yes it is the 2nd most downloaded game on wii u right  behind dragon quest 2.0

NP, just to be sure 1 more time. 100% its Best sellers and not recent sellers (recent sellers are Past day/week). And if its higher than SSBU, thats 43k+ minimum?
