That actually is the Japanese logo. The background is just so dark it's hard to see the symbols.

Regardless, I'm not convinced but it would be cool.

THAT would be cool, a mode that is just like turf war but an AI (or neutral player) is washing away ink between the two teams. 4 on 4 on 1!!!!

I could see Nintendo using a level from Sunshine, even the water thingie as a weapon, but Mario? Hmmm, hard to believe.

Splatoon is a sequel to Mario Sunshine. It's in the ''hero is defeated'' timeline where he loses during the battle of Super Mario Sunshine and the world is covered in Ink/paint until it eventually mutates into what we see now in Splatoon,Inklings.


Hahahahaha! Makes the same amount of sense as the Zelda split timeline!

I don't think NIntendo will mix Splatoon with other own franchises and that's good.

Maybe this is leak for Mario Sunshine HD..

Maybe a special game mode in Splatoon with 3 v 3 teams and a 7th player as Mario cleaning up both teams ink with the water pack(?)

 

I could definitely see it adding some chaos to the matches.  Mario wins if the greatest share of the map is unpainted after 3:00 minutes. :D
