Didn't microsoft already say the delay was down to their holiday software scheduling?

They said the same thing last year: "we are pushing games to 2015 because there are too many on holiday". We all know how many games they released until now.

After all, if you think about it, we didn't see anything about the tv show and they showed just one gameplay trailer 10 months ago.

So QB will be ready by the end of 2015 but Microsoft are holding it back because they have the big 2 exclusives(Forza and Halo 5) this holiday.... Microsoft... The company that basically pushed out Halo:MCC  about 6 months prematurely just to capitalize on the holiday season... Right...

Ehm... We are saying the same thing. I wrote that the story about pushing games out of the holiday because of the presence of other exclusives is laughable. Did you read the OP? I said that in my opinion Quantum Break isn't ready at all, I expect it to come out on 2017.

Remember when Naughty Dog had this and now everyone's forgot? I'm sure the development is okay we probably weren't going to see this game until 2023 anyway.

But they didn't say that specifically about Quantum Break back in 2014 did they? Whereas this time they did.

Unless the game was going to launch in the early summer I don't know where it would have fit in between Gears Ultimate Edition, Fable Legends, Halo 5, Forza 6, Tomb Raider and the yet to be announced fall title (probably an indie). Not saying they aren't capable of spinning the delay to make it sound minor, but the we haven't seen anything from any of the big 3's big  holiday titles so thats not worrying, the fact that they showed a polished gameplay demo at Gamescon last year gives me some confidence in it. But again, we'll just have to wait and see

Of course, without Halo MCC microsoft woudn't have had a big holiday title in 2014 full stop.  It would have been a terrible delay for them, Quantum break however will not make a big difference to 2015's line up.

Halo 5, Tomb Raider, Fable Legends, Gears Ultimate edition and Forza 6. 5 big already established Ips are already lined up, we know Microsoft likes to come hard to during the holiday but there is also such a thing as cannabalisation and I'm sure MS would like to have a least one title ready for Q1 2016, they know sony is going to have at least 2 megatons (Uncharted 4 and Street FIghter 5)

I would hope so, it would be a great introduction for the presentation of Quantum Break.
