Glad to hear so many positive reviews. I think I'll get it as this thread became the tipping point.

I'll pick it up once I'm done with finals.

yeah it is really fun both in single player and mp. Though it is one of the reasons among many to own a WiiU. People calling it kiddy have a long ways to go to mature enough to accept fun over how something looks.

Seems like a game that will fade fast to me.  The lack of critical features for an online game like voice chat certainly killed my interest so maybe I am not the best to judge.  I expects its legs to be smaller than a typical Nintendo game though...

Because free updates till whole summer and good word of mouth, this game can easily have better legs than typical Nintendo game.

And yes, this is one of those games that you need to play to see how fun and good is.

I played on the test dates.   Really didn't seem that fun.  It was ok, but nothing really impressed me that much.  I remember being really annoyed by the controls until I figured out how to turn off the motion controls.  I was also super annoyed with the lack of voice chat, especially in a game where you can use different weapons that can be used cooperatively... Not being able to communicate and plan out strategies drove me nuts.  

i have lots of other small gripes about the game, but yeah, it very well could have long legs because it is a Nintendo game.  However, it failed to win me over...

Not if you buy it refurbished from Nintendo's online store! You also get 1 year warranty for it!

They have two bundles under 250$ right now:

1. Super Mario 3D World bundle with Nintendo land is 225$

2. Nintendo Land Bundle for $200

It's certainly one of the reasons to get a Wii U. Game's not even finished and I'm already having a great time.

Ontopic: Yes.. have said that for a long time.. Splatoon.. and Mariomaker..

(why..? becourse even so MK8, Donkey, Mario, and Smash.. was "super smooth"  They do have that "wow" from the more casual player)

I don't even know how to check this out. I don't even know if there is a report for the Xbox One or PS4 failure rate, let alone the Wii U. The only console I've heard to have high failure rate is the original 360 model. 

Or the ouya. But that's a different kind of failure rate.
