Yea, I'm estimating the PS4 is currently outselling XBO 2.5:1-3:1 on Amazon, right now, with those placings.  Seems Sony got the best bump from E3.  Like I say in there, at Walmart PS4 has 2 SKUs ahead of MS's top SKU.  At Gamestop, XBO has a slight lead.  And at Target, it's probably a tie, or PS4 slightly ahead.  NPD June is going to be fun.

Though, I think the gap is going to be pretty big, already.  So maybe this time it's just as wide as I think it is.

I think the bumps for both consoles are being aided by each having a unit with an extra controller being given away for free.

Yea, there's no way MS is still producing that thing.  Not with all the other bundles they have out or coming out soon.  There would be WAY too much stock on shelves.  My guess is they ordered a butt ton of those things throughtout the end of last year, maybe some at the beggining of this year.  Then got all retailers to take the maximum that they would/could.  Seeing as they still have them in stock just helps illustrate that there was some serious channel stuffing last year, so they didn't look too far behind Sony.  Hence the "nearly ready to ship 10M," and the lack of sales updates since then.


just for you know how fucking MS can overship a console...

Microsoft has been overestimating demand all generation. I remember stores being flooded with unsold XBOs right after launch lol.

That's only part of it, though.  They have also been getting stores to take the max they can, most likely through "one time discounts on X amount of stock," just so they can create the illusion that they aren't that far behind Sony.  That's why they made sure to announce "nearly shipped 10M" just 3 months after Sony announced 10M sold-through.  They did the same last gen just so they could be the first to ship 10M, since they said that would determine the winner.  Which it didn't.
