Try to understand the concept, perception is everything.  In any case, I didn't say that price drop anticipation had anything to do with February sales.  Pooper was lying when he said that too you (he does that, you know?).  

What I said was that Microsoft said they would sort their supply issues out sometime in March, so why is anyone surprised they affected FEBRUARY'S NPD???? 


Yup I was lying I admit it.... WAIT A MINUTE WHATS THIS??? I'd have thought the answer to that question is obvious. All consoles are low because of the Month, but the 360's are particularly low because of an imminent price drop. Microsoft have shown that they generally drop worldwide within a very small timeframe. I would expect to see a price drop or a very nice bundle or SKU in the USA within a month. People are aware of this, and we are seeing the same decline we saw in Europe when price drop rumours emerged. In fact, there is the additional and strong rumour of a 60gb replacement for the pro.

Ahhh all the spin by the 360 defenders is making me dizzy. How long will they drag out this pathetic excuse of a shortage??

We're we not discussing March at that time?  Where exactly did I say that a price drop had anything, ANYTHING to do with February NPD?  Your so silly sometimes pooper.

Oh, there's already a thread about this.

Here in Europe the 360 seems overstocked at shops and is selling very slowly. They don't even need to ship much to Japan, I don't buy their reasoning. If there are shortages at some shops it's probably intentional.

There have been Elite shortages even here in Europe in the past, but this seems to be due to extremely low shipments, not due to overwhelming demand like Microsoft claimed in the past. One sample seems to indicate the Core is more popular than the Elite and Premium consoles make up the bulk of 360 sales (91% for this sample).

I do know 2 people who bought an Elite, but this after owning a Premium expecting the Elite model to be more reliable.
