You obviously haven't been here the last year then haha.

Links please. Don't remember it from Sony users.

Majority of people on vgcartz are likely about the games. It's the more uninformed gamer who just plays cod, Fifa and gta who hear the PS4 is the strongest and grab it.
This thread confuses me as to its purpose.

While I have all 3....
Last of Us made me a big fan, the story telling (even if done before) just immersed me into that world. Actually felt like at anytime something bad May happen when your least ready. Uncharted is also great.

If this were the case then more people would buy the Wii U or Xbox One as most people keep saying that they're just too underpowered compared to the PS4 =p

However in my honest opinion I don't care which console that is the strongest or has the best specs. Gameplay and games above anything else. I'll most likely end up buying a PS4 by the end of the year as the titles that interests is about to release ^^

All in all I agree with the OP and think that that should be the way to go, rather than just going by pure specs. Good thread

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Tagging.

I know this sounds like a fanboy post but when it comes to console hardware, Sony has had the worst reputation. They sell well because of there marketing however there system designs have all been floored apart from the PS4 which I believe Sony has done right for the first time since the PS1. Its there first console that devs prefer to develop on. The PS2 and PS3 were shockers to devs and many struggled to design games around them. As for the games, I owned both PS1 and N64 and my N64 destroyed the PS1 when it came to 1st party quality while on my PS1 I had Twisted Metal which was shit in my opinion, Siphon Filter which doesn't need explaining and etc. How ever the PS1 has great 3rd party games like MGS and FF7 which are my all time favourite games and Crash wasn't too bad, its no Mario or Sonic but was decent enough to play though and finish all of them. PlayStation to me has always been a 3rd party type console while there 1st party games aren't the best, Sony have been getting better but its going to take a long time before there on Nintendo's level. Its why I now prefer to game on PC because PC now offers the best 3rd party support.

I also bought a PS4 for the games and not because it's the most powerfull. However when it comes to the game, i am dissapointed so far. Atleast from Sony's side.

You're right...it does sound like a fanboy post! Well, not entirely. You did give them a bit of credit.

The PS1 was a powerful console. The PS2 was a powerful console (not thee most powerful in that gen). The PS3 on paper was thee most powerful console last gen. The PS4 is thee most powerful this gen. Not to go on about the games from any console, but there's some downplay from you. The PlayStation just can't have any good games without being compared to something else. "Crash is a good game, but it's no Sonic and Mario!" Well it's not suppose to be Sonic and Mario. It's suppose to be Crash.

*sigh* All 3 console have some gems that are great games. I won't pigeon hole any game in a category to be compared to another, unless it's a complete carbon copy (ex Dante's Inferno and God Of War). Just give credit where it's due.

I thought this was going to be the saddest retaliation thread ever, but it turned out to not be terrible. A little silly, perhaps - I'm guessing anyone here is in it for the games. If they wanted the most powerful 3rd party machine they'd get a PC.

Personally, the NES & SNES were eclectic, with a crazy good mix of genres and fresh 1st & 3rd party, in good quantity. And to my tastes, the PlayStation systems have been the true inheritors of that particular cocktail recipe.
