Forums - Nintendo - Splatoon DLC Incoming Today!!!

I love the delivery model they've chosen for this game. They are doing all they can to make the game experience dynamic and vibrant and it's working for me. Maybe in the future I would like to see four rotating maps at any time rather than two, but I love how the available maps change at intervals. This way of releasing modes and maps after the fact just feeds into the same dynamic feel. I hope they keep delivering new elements like these for a long time.

I'm hoping that as they add new maps they increase the amount of maps in the rotation, because 2 is just not quite enough. 3 would work for me, but I would say the more the better. I also wish I could change my equipment inbetween games, but it's not too big of a deal.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

Actually, this is what they intend to do, rotating four maps every 4 hours, and make you choose between 2 out of 4 each match.

I like the idea of changing gear between games, but I'm afraid it would just slow down the wait between games if averyone in the match gets that option.

Nice. :)
Now we will have 3 maps in rotation and Ranked Battle.

Totally understand where you are coming from. I love the quick matchmaking, but I feel like instead of the minigame on your gamepad, you could also have the option to switch equipment. Keep the wait time the exact same and if you are able to switch in time, great! I just don't like backing out when I'm playing with friends just to change 1 weapon or 1 piece of clothing.

I think that has already been explained at length. Increasing longevity of the game, get it being talked about throughout summer etc.

Yes, but you also risks getting lower reviews with less content at launch. Anyway, we will know which strategy pays off after we get the sales numbers.

Splat Zones sounds pretty interesting, will be looking forward to trying it out tomorrow.

Nicee... looks like they already had some completed maps that they did not release on day 1.
