Mirror's Edge Catalyst is pretty good. Don't really see why it would be worse than the original, considering the Metascore is quite a bit lower.

Good to know. I quite enjoyed the original, and thought the beta for Catalyst was also pretty good, aside from containing way too many fetch quests, but all the reviews were pretty off putting so I haven't bought it yet

If I didn't play the original, would I like the newer one? Game interested me from what I saw at E3.

Running feels good and fighting is still pretty meh, so not much of a difference between it and the original lol

Graphics are disappointing considering we know how other Frostbite games can look. Of course the artstyle is great but there's a lot of texture pop in and quite a lot of artifacts. So much that I'm inclined to think they are purposely included as a kind of (bad) effect.
The free roaming is quite impressive though.

I've already pre-ordered Gears 4 ultimate edition digitally and Deus EX: MD.

Other purchases will be Fifa17, Forza Horizon 3, ReCore and South Park. And Inside when it's on sale. Probably Battlefield 1 even though I'm not interested in it at all and I don't like BF4 much.
