There was women in WW2 in an official capacity wasn't there? Here we go: http://libguides.mnhs.org/wwii_women
So it seems you just don't understand history as far as I can tell.

They served, but not in front line infantry positions like the trailer depicts. They were limited to either back-line non-combat roles like cooks, nurses, and supply drivers, or in some cases saw combat in anti-aircraft divisions, where they were even allowed to fire the flak cannons. They were not allowed to serve in front line infantry positions like the trailer depicts though, and Britain certainly didn't send amputees back out to fight except maybe in very dire circumstances, amputees were usually sent home.

3% of the Russian military (800,000) was women in WW2. That is Russia alone.
And they included pilots, snipers, machine gunners, tank crew members, doctors, surgeons, paramedics and so on.

They were in WW2. They were on the front lines. It wasn't a 50/50 split, but I don't think Battlefield is trying to portray it that way?

You sound like they had a choice.
If an area was about to be overrun by the enemy, injured or not... If you had the capacity to pick up a gun, you were going to bloody use it.
So instead of complaining, do a bit of research.
