Forums - Gaming - Who has the best exclusives in 2015? X1 or PS4

The sales probably come from people with high expectations with ps4, but sadly they are not living up to. Andrew even admited the play station exclusive line up of games for the rest of the year is sparse.

He said that the 1st party lineup is a little sparse. Also, what does this have to do with the 4-6 month long timed exclusivity of Rise of the Tomb Raider?

As for the rest of your comment, I don't even understand what you're trying to say. Here, let me repeat it for you. Square Enix is following the money, aka. the console with the largest install base which is the PS4.

It could be said that the xbox one's entire library is "sparse" and is completely lacking diversity. I'll take Playstation's version of sparse over the xbox one's.

Is that why rise of tomb raider is coming to xbox one with no ps4 announcment? Money means more than console base because not every ps4 owner is going to buy rise of tomb raider and difference between ps4 and xbox one game sales isn't that much especially since microsoft is winning North America which has the highest software attach ratio.

I don't see Final Fantasy XIV on that PS4 list, SWORDF1SH. Fix it!

CPU: Ryzen 9950X3D
GPU: MSI 4090 SUPRIM X 24G
Motherboard: MSI MEG X670E GODLIKE
RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM 32GB DDR5

Gaming Console: PLAYSTATION 5 PRO

Exactly, the PS4 has both higher install base and software sales in both America and the world, so the money is in the PS4. Kagari said that SE plans to release the PS4 version of ROTR in the spring. Reason why the PS4 version isn't being mentioned because Microsoft wants to maintain the illusion that it's an exclusive. Microsoft wants to rake in as much money from the deal as possible (remember MS shelled out a lot of money so they need to earn it back one way or another), hence why both MS and SE have been hush-hush about the PS4 version.

It's still a really bad move by SE. The install base of the PS4 is currently 22m and is likely to be at least 26m - 28m by the time TR releases. Add into that the fact the fanbase is PS centric and it's a recipe for disaster, especially when this is part two of an ongoing story. It would be like releasing Lord of the Rings on DVD and then announcing you have to buy a Blu-ray to watch the second movie.

At the opposite, it's the best move ever for SE, it's just a really bad move for PS4/One gamers ( because they could get a real exclusive instead of a fake timed exclusive) , they spare money by allowing Microsoft to publish their own version, and are even funded by them, then, they can wait for the PS4 to get an even bigger instal base after christmas, and avoid the big amount of games during this period, they will just compet against Uncharted, while they would have been against MGS V + COD + AC + Star Wars + Fallout 4 + etc , they will surely release it just before fiscal year end so around March

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

It's disguting and what's worse is it's constantly ignored by the XBox guys!

The last exclusive game from Microsoft's 1st party was Kinect Sports Rivals, that released April last year, the next 1st party exclusive is Halo 5, that doesnt come out until October, thats 18 months without any 1st party exclusives on Xbox One, its beyond disgusting!!

Xbox One hasn't had an exclusive since Sunset Overdrive released, that was also an October released, so it's a full year between exclusives on Xbox One and Xbox Fans support that and wonder why PS4 is selling so much better, LMFAO!!

No Sony aren't in a similar position, because the last 1st party exclusive was Driveclub in October and PS4 doesn't have to wait a year from last October for it's next 1st party exclusive, because Tearaway Unfolded and Kill Strain are slated for the Summer time.

House stated that Sony's 1st party line-up is a little sparse, he didn't say that their exclusive line-up for 2015 is sparse and right now the only know 1st party exclusives coming in 2015 are Tearaway Unfolded and Kill Strain's, which gives room for more to be announced this year, because 2 games in a 12 month period is not even close to being "a little sparse" for output.

Bloodborne stopped being Niche when it sold as quickly as it did, over a million units is definitely no longer a niche title.

Halo 5 isnt interesting, its the same old 1st person shooter,

(Reads first line in bold, then reads the next bold part)

LMFAO!!!

Dude, you just contradicted yourself after Kinect Sports Rival the next exclusive was Sunset Overdrive that was released 6 months later. There was no 18 months without exclusives. Oh not to mention games like Forza Horizon 2 and Halo the Master Chief Collection that was released within those holidays.

When I read the next bold I didn't even bother reading the rest of your post because if you played the beta for Halo 5(which you didnt) it is different from the rest of the Halo games it is not the same old game from the past 14/15 years. What about games like Uncharted when I played the game it is no different from other Uncharted games, I even feel like the second game is overrated. So I don't know why you consider those disgusting no one is really thinking that besides you.

You need to actually read my post, particularly the part you bolded.

I said it's 18 months since Microsoft released their last 1st party exclusive, Sunset Overdrive is a 2nd party game, not 1st party, so no I didn't contradict myself, you just didn't read what I wrote.

Talking about exclusives Xbox One doesn't have any new exclusives coming for a full year, because Sunset Overdrive was the last one and it will be until Halo 5 releases, remember it's October 2014 to October 2015, with no new XB1 exclusives coming in all of that time, that's a full 12 months.

Yes 18 months without a single 1st party exclusive is disgusting, loads of people agree with it, all over the internet, it's just that XBox guys attempt to tune that out, by acting like Xbox exclusive releases are all that matters and they somehow have them coming at times when they don't.

Maybe saying Halo was the same old thing was a bit strong, but it's still one of only 2 outright exclusives coming to the platform this year (that we know about so far), of course Halo 5 will have it's new story dynamic with Locke and it's using the traversal gameplay like COD:AW/Titanfall and some booster stuff to change up gameplay a bit, but it's hardly inventive, I guess it's probably pretty fun though and it does work for a man in an exosuit, TBH I think Halo should have had that kind of an element from the start given what Chief is.

Uncharted 4 seems to be massively opening up the environments, the series always adds new puzzles, additions to gameplay, new animations and a very compelling story, all seemlessly rolled in together, it's definitely not the same old thing, it's actually very inventive and a deep and solid series, hence why it always scores so well and constantly grows it's install base with each new release.

I stand by my point about Microsoft's lack of support for their platform, seriously I don't see how anyone can be happy (on a console), waiting for a year for new exclusives, it's terrible and XBox guys just stick their fingers in their ears acting like that isn't the case when it absolutely is.

Where are the new IPs as exclusives for XBox One this year?

Sony has The Order, Bloodborne, Until Dawn, Kill Strain, etc, there's smaller games like Rime and there's probably going to be even more games coming this Fall, which is what Sony execs suggest with their comments, like Andrew House stating that 2015 is the beginning of a harvest period for 1st party and Fergal Gara outright stating that Sony aren't concerned about their Fall line-up.

Master Chief Collection isn't an exclusive to XBox One, it's a collection of games from the 360 or OG Xbox.

Forza Horizon 2 is a cross platform release.

Seriously dude Microsoft needs to step it up, their support of exclusives on Xbox One has been absolutely terrible, we're half way through the year already and MS hasn't released a single one so far, that's poor!!

On top of that people would just get it on PS4 instead. (I don't know)

An install base double of it's competition equals money to third party publishers. It's obvious that you live under a rock and you have nothing of interest to contribute to the thread so I'm just gonna ignore you.

Read better dude, he didnt contradict himself at all, he said " first party", Sunset Overdrive is not first party but 3rd party ( they dont even own the IP ) so he is right

Read the part when I said Forza Horizon 2 and Halo the Master Chief Collection.

Neither of which are exclusive to XBox One, they're both games on other platforms and while Microsoft may own Forza Horizon Playground Games aren't owned by Microsoft.

Still the point stands, neither of those games/packages of titles are exclusive.

We're also 6 months into this year and Microsoft are yet to release a single Xbox One exclusive, they don't have anything new slated until Halo 5 releases in October, that's absolutely disgusting and it's why Xbox One isn't pulling ahead in sales globally!
