Forums - Sony - I don't understand those Vita sales in this site...

...Seem that ioi don't considers Vita TV like a alternative version of PSV. Indeed, all US sales we have PSV numbers, but not PSVita TV.

December NPD 2014, Vita sold 130,000, and other 20,000 Vita TV. VGChartz have PSV at 129,530. seem perfect with PSV only, but not Vita+TV.

The same with January and February.

NPD January: TV: 6,600; Vita: 28,860 (39% of 3DS), PSV total 35,460 (VGC have PSV at 23,588... still undertracked even withouth TV, but oh well...)

NPD February: TV: above 30,000; Vita: under 30,000; PSV total ~ around 60,000? (we don't know for sure) (VGC have PSV at 26,616... can be correct if those numbers are Vita only, because PSV is under 30,000)

In short, TV version of Vita is not in the PSV total sales in the US.

But VGChartz have the Japan sales of PSV with TV version + Vita... ???

For example, this week: http://www.vgchartz.com/weekly/41595/Japan/ and all week by November 2013...

So, what, VGChart including PSVita TV sales in Japan, but not in the US?

Around the Network

I don't get it either. Then again it's still under tracked even when you don't count PSTV sales. If it's because it's not called Vita TV anymore it wouldn't make any sense. That's like not counting the Japanese sales of Resident Evil because it's called Biohazard there and not Resident Evil.

Well, isn't it called PlayStation TV in America? Looks like Sony has to pay for disowning their handheld.

It was called Playstation TV. Don't think Vita features were even marketed more than the remote play ps4 thing.

I still not sure what it is apart from remote play.
