Guys I seriously wouldn't get too bogged down in list wars pertaining to games no one will play.

Its impossible to hold the 'Sony mass' to hypocritical ransom when X1-W10 integration comes about, just as it was impossible to hold the 'MS mass' to hypocritical ransom when games no one will play shifted from the Xbox 360 (when they apparently mattered) to the PS4 (when they ceased to matter).

The internet has hypocrites, no way.

I will say this - Xbox fans were petty during the last generation, and PS4 fans are petty now. It would be fantastic if when W10 integration comes around, Xbox fans could Rise (see what I did there) above the pettyness, and not shove a list of games they wont play down the throats of PS4 fans that can't play them.

And what games do you expect no one will play from that list?

And i agree windows intergration will be pointless, as people wont play phone app games on their xbox. And they'll  still need work to work on the xbox. So most still wont work anyway.

Kinect could probably be used to replace the touch screen controls. I think this could probably be done without too much coding hassle.

I know, it's certainly not the most satisfactory way to play any of those games, but for the gesture (swiping) based ones, it could work pretty well.

It will be more of a pain that what it's worth and now that kinect isn't in the box they can't count on it. Anything they do will require work. So the idea that the xbox is going to have a million games with windows 10 is naive.

People buying a Ps4 for games? Preposterous!

So far, 22M+ people have bought the console based on hot air and hype. The PS4 has no games that matter. Most of the games it has are games that are lucky to get a 60 on metacritics and no one will play them anyway, and the rest of the library is almost equally as bad since the other fanbases aren't interested in those games.

I tell you, it's all nothing more than hype. No merit. No good games whatsoever. Only hype. If you're enjoying the first party games you play on that console, you are doing it wrong.

I almost took you seriously......

Seriously, that is pretty much what any discussions turn into. Console fans saying their system of choice has value while they see none, or next to none, in the others. Argument after argument about which console has the best games and why the other's best games cannot be considered as good for whatever subjective reason more often than not based on metacritic scores rather than any actual experience with the games. Downplay after downplay just because people enjoy getting on other people's nerves or because they like to make them react to their little game.

The forum rules have been made less permissive over the years and this is precisely the reason why. Vek created a thread about celebrating gaming, and if you look at Smeags's E3 thread, you will see how it asks about the users favourite Nintendo memories. This is what the forums should be about. Our love of gaming and its industry.

Isn't that supposed to be the point of these forums anyway? We all originally came here looking for a place where we could talk about one of our favourite pastime. But most of the threads on here get turned into a negativity fest about what people care less about, what the other consoles do worst than theirs, what games don't interest them, etc...

At one point, really, the excuse that "it's the internet" doesn't cut it. This community, with the rule set in place and the people leading it, aspires to be much more and better than that. More than IGN's and youtube's comments section. I'm an idealistic guy, you'd say. But I simply wonder why so many people are hell bent on ruining the mood of everyone and the topics discussed. We should try to work together to make this place a more enjoyable place to discuss one of our favourite pastime, and help newcomers feel welcome, not settle on the status quo simply because "hey, it's the internet".

"Console war is serious business. If the other consoles are seen as better than mine, I might die!"

These threads are useless, no matter how many games the PS4 has the trolls will still keep vocalizing their delusions that XB1 has a better library. Thankfully their attempts of reassurance and spreading misinformation mean nothing and people are buying the console with the better games.

i didnt knew Until Dawn was 3rd party, i thought it was 1st party.

and it always surprise me when i remember that Ratchet and Clank isnt first party either... men i really need to play one of those games, i gave them a pass before because i thought they looked childish but thats to much of a stupid reason to pass on a game especially if its good.

They are first party in the sense that Sony gets to keep the IP to themselves

List wars... gotta love em

They never change.

Can somebody explain to me what exactly W10 is supposed to do that's going to add all of these games to the Xbox One? From the way some people are talking about it, it sounds like they expect W10 to make it so it can play any Windows compatible game, which I don't remember anyone at MS saying.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I wouldn't say that it's the "internet". It's more or less just people being human. We're all pretty passionate about gaming in one way or another but people are gonna pick a team or teams and try to convince everyone else to join their side while also trying to convince others that the other team is bad for whatever reasons. All of that, I'm fine with. I accepted it as a part of being a gamer and that this is the normal interaction between gamers/people. When people with a similar hobby but different personal tastes get together, there will be discussion, debating and conflict between 'em. People should be just be a bit more civil and level headed when they discuss games in general.

At least, we're not like sport fans who literally beat the snot out of each other in the parking lot over a game. We just argue and say mean things sometimes. I'm fine with it.  We just need some more positive topics or news. We got new numbers but Jay was retired not that long ago. It's a mixed bag of emotions, I guess.

I agree that we should as a whole be more positive and try to make the forum a more welcoming place for new people to visit.
