Most of the fanbase is on ps4, this move if it was true would be a truly disgusting and immature move. The real fans want this game dead, no one wants this with out the holy trio.

I'm a diehard playstation fan. Heck I've been banned enough for my over support of Sony and playful teashing of MS. However I'm first and foremost a gamer that loves games. As such I can say without a doubt that you are wrong and what you are spouting is nonsense. Are you a gamer or are you a fanboy yourself? If you are a real gamer then you have to be at least a little happy that the game would survive. The game is 80% done for the most part the holy trio is intact and it wouldn't take much to get them back to finish it, if they are needed at all. Yeah it might be a dick move by MS but it would save the game. As a gamer and fan of games I would much rather see it be saved then have it lost forever into obscurity as an almost or could have been.

Lets be serious, the source has only two "Leaks" that were true. That kinect was being undbundled and that there was a ps4/vita bundle.

Just because the game is Japanese doesn't mean it will flop. This appeals to a western audience too. 

Final fantasy also appeal for a western audience,look how much type=0 sold on Xone....

Final Fantasy is not that appealing to a wester audience. The characters have a distinct Japanese look and most of them are turn based which isn't that popular in western places. This has zombies, Demon's, guns and horror . Much more appealing to a wester audience. Did dead rising flop?

Numbers: How do they work? what can they mean?

They mean that Silent Hill: Homecoming sold better on 360 as on PS3 ^^

But to be serious now, why do you compare an JRPG with a horror game? Yes they are both from Japan but the difference is, FF is played by JRPG fans regardless of if they come from Japan or Europe/America. Silent Hill is  a game which sells to horror fans, there is no big indicator that there aren't horror fans on XBO but there is one that there aren't so many JRPG fans on XBO simply because JRPG fans know that many of these games won't come to XBO. 

Sure, The Evil Within sold better on PS but that doesn't mean that a Silent Hill could sell good on XBO as exclusive with a nice budget.

There is no formula which is like "if a game comes from Japan it will only sell on PS or Wii", games from Japan could also sell on XBO if they don't scream Japanese with all the characters and stuff.

With that said, the topic sounds not really true and pulled out of the ass, for over a billion MS could probably buy like 50% of Konami (no idea about the worth of Konami but well, the numbers just don't make sense for only Silent Hill)

Well, and Sony just said some days ago that they will go big with third party investments and I'm sure there are also PS fans who are like "wohoo", please don't act as if there aren't these people everyhwere.  Just wait and see after the E3 conferences and how PS and XB fans will praise those thid party exclusives.

I just have to look back at Street Fighter and the reactions when it was clear that it will be PS and PC exclusive. Haven't we seen many PS fans who were more happy about to see that XBox players won't get it as about the game announcement itself? Yes, we have seen many of these...

Edit: just realized that you propbably  aren't against buying these but that you are like "XBO fans believe it but it won't happen and some exclusives will be rather on PS". Well, ok, then my post was useless^^

I don't think most people really thought any of those games were going to be exclusive to Xbox and if they were it would of been timed like TR.

But a thread exacly like this i saw last year, it was like copy paste from this one, one stupid rumour that had zero credibility, take silent hills and put res evil 7 there and go see the threads , comments are exaclty like this thread.

There are people who shit ther pants full of joy with threads about the rumour that Sony will have the Black Ops 3 marketing and this is only about marketing rights so please don't tell me about how one fanbase is so much worse as the other if it comes to this shit. 

It just doesn't make any sense to think that there are like 25 million people on PS4 and they are all totally different people as the 15 million or whatever XBO owners.

im sorry but this sounds so stupid... they are spending BILLIONS???

- for a franchise which the best selling game in the series sold 1.60 million units (Silent Hill on the PS1), even Demons Souls sold more than that...

- For a franchise that has the majority of its fanbase on the PS, the best selling Silent Hill games are SH 1 and SH 2 a PS1 and PS2 exclusives... the last Silent Hill game (downpour) sold better on the PS3 than the 360 and even then both versions combined didn't even got close to crossing the million units...

- Microsoft bought Minecraft for 2.5 Billion dollars, and they are supposedly spending Billions (plural) for Silent Hills so they are either spending just as much as they did for Minecraft or even more.... let that sink in...

- with Billions (plural) Microsoft could develop a dozen AAA exclusives or just fund Halo 6, 7, 8, 9 10, 11, 12, etc etc etc... but they are going to use that money to buy a game that will be lucky to cross the million units sold?...

if this turns out true and Microsoft really bought SH for BILLIONS then im sorry but im gonna laugh out loud that day... like seriously that's one way of wasting money, i could understand spending Millions (with an M) but Billions? (with a B) for Silent Hills? nah man that's.. that's crazy and in the most dumb way.
