what the f*ck?

that's the best thing ever. you can use whatever you want. aa batteries, eneloops, accupacks. giving consumer a choise seems to be only bad, if ms is doing it. i barely remeber the next gen reval and shouts from many fanboys...

the way sony went, is by far the worst. non changeable battery with low capacity. so after some chargin cycles, the capacity will drop even further...

i hope you will get rid or that shitty opionion.

You know what..I certainly wouldnt say it's the best thing ever having replaceable batteries, So sorry... not sure many people would agree with you there... how many times have you heard people in forums say  "Sony screwed up by not allowing people to put batteries in their controller".. pretty much never. If were talking about by the far worst idea (to use your phrase), the most stupid decision was to make a console where it was going to be digitial only without the ability to change the hard disk... now thats stupid.

Personally I've never had a problem with Sony's controllers, I have more than one, and always one on charge if one is getting low. Not once have I had a so called low capacity issue. So there you go.

yeah it really sucks you cannot change the internal hdd if you can just plug in an external
i read hundreds of comments about the bad battey life of the new ds4 controller
and the ability to use aa batteries, enelopps OR accupacks would make that obsolete.

and do you never play with friends? so you have both controller in use and cant charge one
i still can easily charge some of my eneloops and if the old ones are low, i put in new ones.

can't be more easy

I will never thank the Wii for Sonys short and unnecessary trip into motion gaming.

The 360 made Sony get of its ass and produce awesome first party titles, so thanks for that, but it also showed Sony that you can ask people to pay for playing multiplayer on your console and they'll do it...and I'm not gonna thank the 360 for that either.

You also should never thank nintendo handhelds for Sony's short and unnecessary trip into handheld gaming. Opps...

I am all for criticizing the negative aspects of anything. That includes the ridiculous need to buy AA batteries for a controller in 2015. Did he really need to ask a certain faction to thank the competition as if they were some kind of savior? Creepy obsession to be honest.

The fact is, without competition, any of the big 3 are willing to screw their costumers. No need for exaggerative statements about SONY's greatness.

I won't, I absolutely detest handhelds and that Sony wasted any resources in them ever.

That was a joke mostly. Vita is struggling but the PSP was a success.

What a joke that the xb1 controller still uses AA batteries and has no headphone jack. Just shows MS's anti consumer policies. no headphone jack on a product released in 2013.

Yeah, they are releasing one with a head jack now, still they dont deserve no praise for not screwing over consumers alot now. Lets see if they get rid of those shitty AA batteries too.

Plenty of devices still uses batteries if people no longer use them the market should already discontinued it. Also what "anti-consumer policies"? You are being too negative about this everytime Microsoft anounced anything, chill out dude.

I can change an iPhone battery on any iPhone in less than 5 minutes.... I have DS3s that are years old and still hold a charge for days.... So far no issues with the DS4 either.

by removing industry standards in devices such as a built in recharable battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack, charging extra to give you them as a peripheral isnt anti consumer now? its a clear cash grab dude, and instead if attatcking me personally, keep it about the topic shall we?
