I'm only glad for this announcement because it confirms no main series games this year. :L

I really hope they get this one right with a great story and fun gameplay like the original on the GBA and the Explorers games. Gates to Infinity felt too simplistic and the post game was lacking so I'm hoping that they try to change those aspects of the previous game.

So I guess it's pretty probable that there won't be a mainline title this year.

I think the next mainline title will be some kind of celebration for the 20th anniversary.

I'm very happy about that. I can buy something else with my money this year cause Pokemon > all for me.

Nope, just burnt out from X/Y still, meaning I wouldn't get another main series game this year regardless.

I guess that's true... ORAS is the reason I still don't own Smash Wii U right now.

If you wouldn't have gotten it anyway, why would you be happy that the people who would have gotten it can't play it. It's like being happy that CoD skips a year. There are people who actually like that it's annualized.

Because now there's a greater chance I will get it with it coming next year instead.

Why would a game you didn't intend to get this hear have any baring on a game you might get next year?
