6M... WW? Sounds about right... But 9M for the whole year sounds low... Unless Take-Two's fiscal year ends in June or September.

Take-Two announced that San Andreas sold 20M across all platforms, I believe. I expect GTAIV to do over 15M lifetime.

If HALO 3 sold 3.86 MILLION first week WORLDWIDE on an 13 million install base

GTA IV can do 6 million combines EASILY..

Some quick thoughts.

First of all, these numbers come from an analyst -- not from Take-Two.

More importantly, the overall sales seem to make sense, but it is not going to sell 4M-6M the first week. The last two have sold between 6M and 8M in Americas and about the same in Others -- with limited sales in Japan. Halo 3 only sold slightly less than 4M its first week. This will not sell that quickly but should have strong legs.

I think it will top Halo first week sales due to the fact that its Multiplatform. 6 mil is possible since the GTA series is probably one of the hugest modern day gaming franchises but I doubt it sales that much.

I still think the 360 version will outsell the PS3 version, but I would rather have the PS3 version.

How come Nintendo struggles to produce a million copies of Brawl in launch weel while Take 2 can produce 6 million? I don't get it...
