Forums - Nintendo - Metroid U made by Platinum games?

I'd believe it.

It's a hard pill to swallow, but Retro may well be burned out on Metroid. A lot of key staff departed after Prime 3 and went on to things like Halo and the Arkham series. That's a big reason why I think KT got to do Other M.

Since KT's take hasn't been embraced, another high quality 2nd party makes sense. And PG is the standout when it comes to character action games.

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

If Metroid is made by PG than Metroid is dead to me.

Is the costume literally the only thing fueling these rumors? Because that means they're not even solid enough to be called rumors. Capcom isn't potentially making the next Zelda just because of costumes in MH4. Nintendo's just costume crazy right now.

I liked Other M, but I'd prefer a more open Metroid. Possibly 2D.

Of course they are! Just like Konami made that Super Mario game after they put those Mario and Yoshi cameos in Twin Snakes!

my thoughts exactly.

I don't get it everyone for at least a year has known about the metroid costume in bayonetta 2 so why is this news?

I'd prefer if Platinum Games made another exclusive while Metroid is handeld by another team..

This would work only if they're turning it into some insane action shooter. I don't think Platinum knows anything other than high-octane. I'm a huge Platinum Games fan, but unless Metroid is going to turn into an over-the-top shooter like Vanquish, I'm not seeing how this is true.
