So many excuses. I am really surprised after hearing so many excuses. What about people who are getting day one? They are not important? Review is alreay showing lack of content meaning.

People getting it day 1 knew exctly what they were going to have, Nintendo was pretty clear about it.

Now, the thing is, they should not give a score for something that is not already avalible, but should they fully ignore the fact that the game is going to grow for free every week through the summer and at the end will be bigger than we ever thought?

It doesnt feel right to fully ignore that on the scores, there should be a balance imo.

If the rest of the content was 30$ Dlc they would give it the same score, even if the content was announced for the next year, and not every week for the next few months.

They shouldn't base anything on promises of things to come. They should and can only review what's there to experience.

What they should do is update their review once that content has been made available and advertise the update on their site so people take a second look. It's the only way to be fair about this. Increasing (or balancing, as you put it) the score due to upcoming content you can't even try now is absolutely ludicrous.

The complaints about the lack of content for a full price game are totally legitimate right now.

That's not really true. I mean you'd expect most, if not all, people buying a game day 1 to have already made up their mind about it and not to be affected by reviews. Anyone basing a purchase decision on a review is likely to be getting it later anyway.

All the more reason why the content complaints are silly.

I'm suspecting that the reviews would be better if it was bullets instead of paint.

I hope you're joking because that excuse is getting old. Besides 81 is a decent score.

Still expecting low 80s (let's say 81 for your OP), but fingers crossed for some good scores!

81 is actually a little better than I expected which is nice. Seems like complaints stem from a lack of content and whilst that will be improved, you can only review what's in front of you at the time.

lol

I predict 81 like in the other thread.

Not bad, my only bad prediction was The Order 1886 with 72.

82 was the average prediction in this thread, so everything within expectations.

They don't do it for any game. Driveclub now works fine, and has nearly twice the content it had at launch for no extra money along with a weather patch that dynamically changes the way you play, but all of that was obviously ignored when it was reviewed.

I'm not sure what you're asking for, exactly.  A +5 points for content to be delivered later?

Except they're not, because no one is actually gonna be paying $60 for just the content currently being reviewed.

I have read that the final Boss of Splatoon is one of the best bosses Nintendo has done in years.

I´m excited about it :D

so splatoons 81 seem to be very safe.

So followed by metacritic this game is inferior to Olliolli.

Just realised how much of a joke this reviews are^^

Woah, woah, woah, hold on a minute. Splatoon is being held to different standards than a significantly cheaper indie game?

Someone call the prints, i think we've found ourselves a conspiracy.

yeah. All games should be rated by same criteria. Otherwhise this scores are senseless.

I'm impressed that they did such a boss in a shooting game. Whenever I think of bosses in shooters I remember the """final boss""" for Fallout 3
