This can't possibly be the case... people are only buying the PS3 as a Blu-Ray player, don't you know?

@Rock: It depends on title. Games that are popular in Japan and Europe will be selling better on PS3 and games. Games targeted at American market will see bigger sales on X360. DMC4 has comparable popularity in all regions so it would be a good indicator of global PS3/X360 potential if it wasn't so higly connected with PS brand. But still a great result.

 I've been following the specific sales of DMC4.

 It would be "good" if the X360 version outsold PS3 version by 200k or something like that, looking at the userbases But PS3 version doing terrific. I mean, how could X360 owners blame PS3 for not selling software well? 360 got almost 7 million users more, still PS3 version ownz.

I call bullshit, obviously the 25 minute install maed them sell less cuz thats fuqing stupid.

Very good for PS3 version.

Before the euforia gets too big I'd like to say that there's less competition on PS3, it has relatively big Japanese sales and it used to be a Playstation franchise. It's also the first multiplatform game to sell more on PS3.

Still: very well done, but to starts screaming that from now on PS3 multiplats will outsell 360 versions is a bit over the top.

XBox 2 ports look crap when compared to the better PS3 version.

The PS3 has an install base of more than 10 million, not 6 million. Anyway I am glad that PS3 has another million seller next to its name. Now Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction must just get past a million, it really deserves it.

I have played the game over 200 hours so far and if the install only made me save 2 seconds per loading screen I have probably saved over 30 minutes thanks to it by now, so I actually am glad they did it....

MMM actually I probably underestimate it, at 2 seconds per loading screen 30 minutes would be 900 loading screens, I have gone through a lot more than that....
