I think the price is at a good sweetspot. Indie games tend to give you a lot of content for a cheaper price, and this shouldn't be an exception.

But the game will probably have the feel and content of a full-priced game though :P

I think the price is perfect as is, if you ask me.

They could charge more but they are already funded, so I guess the idea is to maximise sales rather than profits.

i think the price is good as this is, its not very good graphic wise, even more when the game will come out. so unless there is a improve there, i wont see a incrase in price do any good.

(but can see at 30 at retail if we have very polished & good game)

I think $20-$30 is perfect. For me, a new game that's less than $20, I will question its value. If it's more than $30, I'll question whether I really need or want it. I wouldn't mind paying a few extra bucks if we get more quality and a lengthier experience out of it.



It'll be awhile before I figure out how to do one of these. :P 

It's only the kickstarter supporters who are getting this price. Retail versions may cost considerably more. So that £10 steam version may launch at £30 initially and take a long time to get back down to £10. Good or bad the developers are going to be rich but I'm not being negative here I really think this team will deliver a fantastic game for all ages.



I really don't see the problem to give the kickstarter backers a low entry price for their support. They pay years in advance for the game and have the risk that the game turns out bad or mediocre. With a higher price many supporters would just wait for the end product.

And the normal price for the non-supporters will be higher (if the game is good), just look at the retail prices of Giana Sisters, which started at $10 at Kickstarter:

No, according to microeconomics the final sum would most likely not be higher. The higher the price the harder it will be to find buyers capable of and willing to pay the price. The best price might be even lower, it is the main reason why smartphone games are so successful. With a price of only a few dollars, you could be attractive to several million casual buyers, with a higher price you are limited to hardcore fanboys. Fortunately, BK has a lot of them.

Microeconomics is the reason why most money is made on steam sales, humble bundle or the smartphone market these days.



Well, the kickstarter largely covers development funds. I'd rather see the first game get wide appeal so a sequel wouldn't have to go on kickstarter. But I'd happily fork over 60$ for the game.
