Good, maybe now ubisoft can start making actual decent games that are AAA and maybe, just mabe the PC versions won't be borked to hell and back this time (as if they care).

I would actually be amazed if someone made a $20 million pong game (development not marketing) that would be very difficult unless there was 100s of game modes, extreme levels of physics and a new engine to boot. Could be done.

What I mean is unless you're now changing the definition on AAA games, then Ubisoft are making many AAA games.

Whats so great about it? there are tons old gen owners who still would like to have ports without spending extra money on new hardware.

The only 8 Gen only games from third party devolopers were Evolved and Dying Light and both of these games doesnt scream anything of Next Gen to me. Only the PS4 exclsuives and Ryse are at true 8 Gen level right now. I dont see how it will magically change Ubisofts graphics/technical quality by droping last gen.

But they are Triple A.

They suffer A big downgrade, have A lot of bugs and they are unoptimised because the development is A huge mess. See? Triple A.

On a more serious note, it makes a lot of sense. With the troubles they are having with their games as of late, getting rid of two consoles is a necessity. Plus the fact that the new consoles are selling well, make this decision a lot easier.

Dare you really calling only ryse next gen, while calling every ps4 exclusive 8th gen? Because yes, knack is so flipping next gen. X1 exclusives are just as next gen as ps4 ones. 

About time for this to happen. Hopefully other main publishers will follow suit.

It was inevitable and probably about the right time at this point. Creating gimped versions for last-gen hardware is only holding the current gen back.

Not every but knack, bloodborne, killzone, driveclub and the order defeniatly. Knack has great gpu rendered physics effects no other game has elivered before. I think the xbox one exclusives are a level below imo, with the exeption of ryse and maybe dead rising and forza 5.
