They suffer A big downgrade, have A lot of bugs and they are unoptimised because the development is A huge mess. See? Triple A.

On a more serious note, it makes a lot of sense. With the troubles they are having with their games as of late, getting rid of two consoles is a necessity. Plus the fact that the new consoles are selling well, make this decision a lot easier.
