I think we can all agree splatoon will do better than expected :P
Japan is making it look like an easy 60k+ opening.
US will hopefully be around 100k
EU the same as JP maybe 100k I wish.

Yes it did. But DKC sold pretty slow. And Pikmin might pass the million mark within this year. I'm expecting Splatoon to sell faster and more though. Just not as like the best selling games on the system. Mario Kart should roughly have a 45% attach rate right now and keeps on selling. That is a bit to big for Splatoon.

Amazon and Nintendo are not "best buddies" so to say...

But anyway - good sign. Splatoon is going to sell HUGE. A million within one month - no doubts about that.

In the long run I expect a similar or better attach rate then Mario Kart - which is at this time above 50%.

Nintendo makes Wii U Splatoon bundles - something very unusual for a new IP.

Also Splatoon will have very very long legs - it will reach its full sales potential in August when team building comes via a free update.

The outlook for Splatoon is very very promising - I've never seen so different communities like the Smash and Zelda one hyping the same game.

And after playing the global testfire for 3 to short hours - I can say that Splatoon simply deserves it.

Its a fresh take on the Shooter genre with deep mechanics, offering a variety of strategies and presented in a way only Nintendo can do.

Well, I didn't report him, just found it strange he would make the same comment someone got banned over. I guess they both have an uninspired sense of humour.

If that's a banworthy post then there's more wrong with this website than just a lack of numbers. And I would be very disappointed if that post ruined my unblemished record.

But I should say something on topic otherwise it does risk a ban. So, it appears that if the game sells well it will be very much deserved based on reactions from first look impressions. And it gives one hope that Nintendo console owners can support new IP to success, not based on characters seen in past generations; motion control craze notwithstanding. However I'm not sure how reliable Amazon is as a gauge of over all sales. Amazon USA is notoriously bad at predicting the NPD top 10, aside from the usual multiplat suspects, and that's the biggest Amazon website.
