It's pretty scary how much more I've been enjoying Twilight Princess HD as opposed to the Wii port. The most basic of improvements have really contributed to the feeling of the game.

Stuff like free camera control, improved resolution, having the map and items displayed on the gamepad, the screen being less cluttered with UI, traditional controls for combat, gyro controls for items, a bigger wallet, etc. have really made me enjoy even the beginning segment (which is pretty bad as a whole) more than the original. I don't think it's as big of an improvement as Wind Waker HD, but I don't regret buying it at all (plus the amiibo looks hella nice). :P

Hm everything sounds pretty awesome! Honestly TP HD strikes me as one of the games that's best played with the GamePad so I'll to defintely give it a go while using it. For some reason I was stubborn and didn't try out the Pad for WW HD but these changes seems worth it.

Playing Wind Waker HD with the gamepad is still my favorite experience on the Wii U, as well as my favorite gaming experience ever. It really changes the dynamic and makes everything seamless, like the barrier between you and the game has been knocked down. The immersion definitely benefits from it, imo.

Nice. It was back when I didn't think much of the GamePad and just preferred the Pro Controller hands down. And while I do in regards for a game like Smash, I started to like the GamePad alot after playing Hyrule Warriors and Splatoon as much as I have.

Damn you Squareenix for implementing a touch screen mini game to level up dream eaters in KH3D.

I wonder how that is gonna work in the HD version in KH 2.8......

About Square Enix, does anyone know if that version of Final Fantasy I is going to come to the West? You know, that anniversary remake they did for the 3DS as a preorder bonus to Explorers?

You know it deserves the GOTY.

Considering SE's history with their releases on 3DS - I wouldnt bet on it.........wouldnt be surprised if the western release was canned or even forgotten at this point.

The fact that games like the Bravely Default series and FFExplorers came out almost a year after the JP versions (and the fact that games like DQ7 and 8 are taking forever) - looks bad.

Edit: Speaking of FF1 - I remember now that I got the iOS version for free from the promotion few months ago - I should play it lol.

Shame, it's not like they need to translate the whole game, it's decades old now and it has a translation already. They could have easily charged 5-10€ for it and people would have bought it, or used it like they did with Japan and packed it with Explorers as a preorder bonus.

Yeah, while there are some games where I prefer the Pro Controller (Bayonetta 2, Smash, Hyrule Warriors to name a few), other games just feel much better with the GamePad, such as the Zelda games, Pikmin 3, The Wonderful 101, etc.

They serve very different purposes for me, and I like having the option to switch (if the game provides it).

Something tells me that SE is unwilling to commit to the portables as much as they are to home consoles.

This generation (Vita/3DS) has been pretty weak and lackluster compared to previous gen (PSP/NDS) which had a record number of games being released.

PSP/NDS
-Final Fantasy I Anniversary (PSP)
-Final Fantasy II Anniversary (PSP)
-Final Fantasy III (PSP)
-Final Fantasy III (NDS)
-Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection (PSP)
-Final Fantasy IV (NDS)
-Final Fantasy VII Crisis Core (PSP)
-Final Fantasy Dissidia (PSP)
-Final Fantasy 012 Duodecim Dissidia (PSP)
-Final Fantasy The Four Heroes of Light (NDS)
-Final Fantasy XII Revenant Wings (NDS)
-Final Fantasy Tactics A2 (NDS)
-Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions (PSP)
-Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep (PSP)
-Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (NDS)
-Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded (NDS)
-Star Ocean The First Departure (PSP)
-Star Ocean The Second Evolution (PSP)
-Valkyrie Profile Lenneth (PSP)
-Valkyrie Profile Covenant of Plume (NDS)
-Dragon Quest IV Remake (NDS)
-Dragon Quest V Remake (NDS)
-Dragon Quest VI Remake (NDS)
-Dragon Quest IX (NDS)
-Dragon Quest Heroes Rocket Slime (NDS)
-Dragon Quest Monsters Joker (NDS)
-Dragon Quest Monsters Joker 2 (NDS)

Seriously. SE were basically a pillar for the DS's third party line up and basically made the PSP worth anything in my eyes. The drop off when the 3DS came to town was rough to see (with the Vita only getting hand me downs).
