mZuzek I'm not sure Luigi's nerfed at all. Apparently they got rid of down throw > down B, which is certainly good, but buffed his down smash and down air. He's still ridiculous if he can do all the other stuff he could out of down throws before, but I guess until I see it in action I won't know how buffed or nerfed he was. Marth's shield breaker change was completely unnecessary too :/ Duck Hunt on the 3DS was a fine addition. And I haven't seen anyone talk about it, but I can almost swear Fox had a couple of minor changes (which would be nerfs)... but I guess it might just be me making up things. We'll see. |
Ugh, I just hate Luigi tbh, he's pretty much a braindead character if you ask me.
As for Fox, according to SmashBoards and Reddit, the only reported change as of now seems to be the damage from his laser throws, which now does 1.5% instead of 2%.

Pictured above are the two new characters, Mamori Minamoto (elementary school student that enjoys Showa era music and clothing) and Barry Goodman (retired musician that works with the protagonists as a trainer, came to Japan in search of otaku culture).

"The very negative side effect of this, is it means a person could potentially modify their save file to change their character ID from 0 or 1 (Inkling Boy and Inkling Girl respectively) to 2, which represents Octolings."
"If you encounter a player that has done this, you need to make sure to stay in the lobby until they leave it, and then play one more match. This should ensure the game doesn't put their hacked Octoling character into your Inkopolis Plaza. The Plaza is not programmed to handle Octolings, and so if one is placed into it, your game will crash whenever it tries to load them. This includes the title screen, which means your save file is effectively 'soft-locked' and cannot be used until either Nintendo patches this issue, or your plaza is cleared by the beginning of a Splatfest."
"It is possible to back up any of your Wii U save files to a flash drive, and we'd recommend doing so if you wish to be absolutely safe."

This game looks so wonderfully japanese, I love it. I really hope the NX has a WiiU VC or is backwards compatible so I can get to play it.

Never knew this was such a serious issue D:
Good thing I haven't encountered any, but I do worry that I would DC from the lobby (happens more often to me now) and that may put the octoling in the plaza :/

Those mirage designs are pretty sweet. And I like how the characters don't just put on their armor when they fuse with them but take on a unique look of their own.
Oh, and I hope all the people freaking out over Tharja not looking like Tharja (although it was Kiria as a Mage we had seen, not Tharja) can breath easier now as the Mirage of Tharja does indeed look like Tharja :P
