Nah, the new one is miles better.

The previous one was embarrassingly bland.
they really love to bank on a Mario character than push a newer type of IP like XCX. I know XCX might be niche for some but they should still push XCX as one of the prime games that this generation should talk about.

I honestly doubt Ultra Smash will get a bigger push than Xenoblade. Sure, it's technically the holiday title, but that doesn't mean it will get more attention from Nintendo. They'll probably give it MP10 level treatment, and do more and more with Xenoblade over the coming months.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

they really should target a different type of audience, RPG is certainly lacking in the WiiU but there ain't a lot of RPGs out there for the WIi U besides mostly VCs.

Yeah, this is why they need 3rd parties. Nintendo is the only company to have their very own 1st party RPGs (many of them, in fact), and yet they still get the least amount (at least on home consoles).
Xeno X and #FE should attract some people, of course. I really don't feel like Nintendo will hang these games out to dry. At least not based on what they've done so far with them.

Both bad imo

Um, you really shouldn't be ironic about this, because they really are. Star Fox Zero is an important game that has to be very polished and of very high quality upon release, therefore it's delayed. Mario Tennis is Mario Tennis, so they're just getting it out now. |
Oh I get the Star Fox delay. But I don't see why they couldn't move XCX forward and put Mario Tennis in December. That makes more sense to me.
