While I was sitting outside my dorm today, I heard someone that walked by talking about wanting Splatoon and a Wii U. It's so rare to hear about the latter in public that I thought I'd mention it. XD

By the way, to anyone who has finished Xenoblade, if I'm at the boss fight in Sword Valley, how far would you say I am into the game?

Around halfway of the story, more or less.

That's about what I expected. There still seems to be a lot of questions regarding the plot, so it makes sense.

Thank you!

And you just let them walk away without giving any input? How come?

Well, a lot of factors went into this, so allow me to explain.

1.) I didn't think about giving any input until you mentioned it just now, 2.) He was talking to someone so I wouldn't want to interrupt, 3.) I was waiting for my friends to pick me up, and they were about to be there, 4.) He seemed intent on getting a Wii U regardless of what I could say, 5.) I'm a very socially awkward individual.

That last one is especially important.

I understand, but it's still something to regret. The Wii U faithful must always be tightly united.

Of course. I feel great remorse for my action, or lack thereof.

Do you guys think that the amiibo sales will drastically increase when the Amiibo NFC Reader comes out for the 3DS? Will 3DS users buy amiibos?

I'm pretty sure that people who buy Amiibos in high quantities already are big Nintendo fans, and thus, already have 3DS. So I don't think it will change much. Except in Japan, that AC Home Designer is going to open the doors for massive Amiibo sales in Japan.

You know it deserves the GOTY.

I gotta say, Atlus has that Persona/SMT anime art style down to a science. It's an interesting look so I'm not complaining, it's just interesting that they have focused so hard on refining that one visual style.

Also, having played the Wii U for a while I gotta say I can now say I like the gamepad in practice and not just in principle. It took a couple days to get used to - not unlike with my 3DS XL - but once I did I find it quite comfortable, even for extended play sessions. And the thing is light, real light. It feels maybe only slightly heavier than a 360 controller. And while the battery life is short (not that I mind; I've used the PS4 as my only console for a while and its battery life ain't exactly insane) Nintendo seems to be the only company this gen that seems to remember that sometimes you need to play with the controller plugged in; the cord is quite long.

Is Persona exclusive to Sony? There was a 3Ds game but it might be just a spinoff? WiiU should have gotten P5, started playing P4 and i quite like it.  I would say it has an easier feel than SMT, not saying SMT is bad, SMT is just way more demanding i think. especially i'm new to the series.

with regard to the gamepad, it is quite light, haven't had a 360 controller, but i thought 360 is heavier than the game pad or maybe i'm thinking about the X1 controller. :D

i agree, there is a longer cord and I've used it several times especially for Splatoon, SMM, etc.   anyway congratz on your new console. it is just sad that Wii U is only 32GB.  if you are going a bit digital, try to get an external HD soon.
