I mean I am looking at the games and this is absolutely not Wii U level power in the system. I don't know where on the spectrum it falls but it is definitely a marked improvement in abilities over the Wii U. We'll have to wait for someone to disect it though.
The battery life also clues me in that while the system can and will throttle out of the dock, it doesn't throttle a fixed degree. Hence the huge battery life gap: when a game allows it to throttle down a lot, the Switch gets pretty good battery life for it's size and feature set. When the game demands it stay running pretty high, the battery life predictably takes a dive.
