I have a question. This week there is a discount for the FE Fates versions (Conquest and Revelations), but when I go to buy it through the game, the discount does not appear. Do you know where can I get it with the discount?

Playing Virtue's Last Reward. Why did I miss this game is beyond my imagination. Shockingly brilliant.

Maybe a bit too late to say now, but you should play 999 first.I cannot recommend it enough.Zero Escape is such a brilliant series.

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

It's not too late, sadly I can't manage to find 999 to play it before Virtue's Last Reward. I think that the story is self-contained and doesn't require knowledge about 999. Am I wrong? XD

You could always wait for the Nonary games collection XD.

As for your question, yes and no.VLR does a good job at explaining the important points of the first game that the second game requires. So in that sense, it is self contained. But at the same time, you will be missing some "wow" moments when you connect the dots, but most importantly than all, you WILL be spoiled of the first game story if you play the second game first. And the 999 has such an awesome story. Not to mention that you will enjoy the second game more if you play the first one first, due to returning carachters, plot points that are easier understood with earlier references, and so on.

But all in all, its an excellent franchise, and one of the best in terms of storytelling.

Tbh, I'm so glued to the screen with VLR that I can't wait for the collection XD. Which I'll buy in order to have the first game. It could be kind of weird to know vital plot points of the first one, but if everything is well tied and written, I will surely appreciate that despite of not getting that wow factor XD. And, yeah, I agree, this is actually awesome storytelling. Pretty neat puzzles too. I think I'll try to explore every timeline.

I think it only applies to the first game that you buy, so maybe if you try to buy the game discounted (in game), you can't discount it again?
