Yeah, I feel as though the originals will never really be replaced either. I wonder (especially if more come) if this will cause a lot of hate to the new IPs from fans of the original series.

What is Dino Crisis? I always hear about it but have never seen it

How can you not have seen Dino Crisis? :o

It was awesome. Basically old school Resident Evil except with all kinds of cool dinosaurs instead of zombies. Just look how awesome this is!

That image looks way too sharp, it's gotta be on PC lol

You never heard?!?!! lol jk its a niche game by Capcom where its pretty much Resident Evil, but with dinosaurs.  However the 2nd Dino Crisis I guess they wanted to change it a bit from being an exact RE clone so they made it more action packed but still had the same RE feel which was still very fun to play.

I would highly recommend it if you like dinosaurs and old school Resident Evil.  PSN has a Flash Sale where they had both games for $0.99 each!

I'll definitely give it a look at!

I don't know how to feel.

The fact that they call them Spiritual successor makes it feel as a PR crap so that old fans get the game/back it no matter what. The fact that they ARE Spiritual successor makes me question why they don't make a new game altogether instead of banking on nostalgia.

On the other hand, because they are Spiritual successors, you know what to expect, how it should play. And (in this cases), they are developed by longtime famous and reliable (in some cases ) developers.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

I think i like it. I'd support more Kickstarter game projects, if they came out for PS4, since i don't play PC games. Mighty No. 9, and Yooka-Laylee are the only 2 games i've supported on there so far. I'll probably support Bloodstained as well.

I'd kill for a spiritual successor to Wild Arms, Grandia, Lunar, Chrono, and all those other RPGs that were around from 1997 - 2005. When the publishers are unwilling to finance the kind of games that game developers and fans used to create and play but still want to see, then Kickstarter spiritual successors are often the only avenue to pursue. The current state of the industry is unkind to the kind of mid-tier games that used to fill the market before, and that is a shame.

you forgott final fantasy

This is one of the best things that had happened in video game industry. Big companies care only for high profits and they don't care to pleasure people with variety of game experience.
Allready three of my favorite games got a sequel with Kickstarter support : broken sword , the longest journey & Clock Tower.

2 word: AWESOME
