While I myself do not have a Vita, I do like its design. It's very ergonomic and comfortable, at least when I played one.

It really does. I'm actually surprised by all the love this thread is giving the Vita XD it's well deserved though

Vita is easily the best for me, just wish there was more software out there... At least more software that puts a bit more effort into their translations... There is like 7 vita games I would have bought if they had an English dub...

3DS I love the design layout, the touch screen and the fact the handheld can cover itself to protect both screens, I still like the DS design but 3DS/redesigns feel more natural.

If we talk about all the handhelds, the best design for me goes to the Game Boy Advance. That was the last handheld that had buttons of the right size, unlike todays handhelds with its tiny buttons.

If we talk about new handhelds, that had to make room for sticks and all that, to me the best one is the Vita.

GBA SP.

Vita for me has always felt the most ergonomically built handheld while the second for me would be the PSP. I just wish there was a little bit more space in the back, otherwise it would be perfect.

The original GBA is still the most comfortable to hold and play imo.

The DS/3DS design in general is perfect to me. For a handheld to be ideal it's got to have that clamshell design, because portability is everything in a handheld. Then the two screens thing is just perfect as well.
