As long as these projects are done right this could be really great for Nintendo! I'll remain cautiously optimistic

Furthermore, I think VGChartz should add a "Like"-button.

I thought they already announced that Zelda show?
Sigs are dumb. And so are you!
^ Iwata said that the news wasn't accurate or something like that. But he didn't deny that something was happening! ;)
Nintendo has several franchises that could be turned into good movies or series.
Franchises like Mario, Earthbound would probably be better as a series and franchises like Zelda, Metroid, Animal Crossing, would be better as full motion pictures.

Finally they're evolving. As long as they keep their seal of approval this will only be good. I need a Nintendo world store in london

Ohh! This will be so tricky to pull off but I'm very interested in the possibilities.

Ok thats why Nintendo Invite Girls From Playboy to Try Splatoon XD

The North Korea Sony leak showed that they have (or at least had) a deal with Sony for a CGI Super Mario movie. So perhaps they're just waiting to announce that once they have a director/writing staff attached.
That wasn't a vague leak either, it stated that Avi Arad at Sony (and the guy who also involved with Marvel) flew to Japan and celebrated with Mr. Iwata and Mr. Miyamoto to seal the deal.
So that's probably happening.
I get the sense what's happening with Zelda is Nintendo is shopping the property to different studios/outlets seeing who gives them the best pitch for it, so that's where the Netflix leak came from, but it doesn't mean they had a deal with Netflix, just that Netflix was one of the companies bidding or being approached by Nintendo to see what their approach would be.
