Forums - Gaming - Media Create Sales: Week 18, 2015 (Apr 27 - May 3)

Hiska's posting some Media Create leaks:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showpost.php?p=163158301&postcount=715

Puzzle & Dragons Mario - 180k
Dragon Quest X (Wii U) - 100k
Dragon Quest X (Wii) - 80k
Xenoblade X - 86k

Wii will rock U - 46000/2 = 23k

Good but not great opening for X. Had hoped for 100k+.

For all interested: This is only "half" of the Golden Week, which lasted until the 6th this year.

Need something off Play-Asia? http://www.play-asia.com/

so, this last time wii U will pass ps4 in a single week in japan.
or we can expect another?

Dissapointing hardware numbers from the Wii U for sure. People were saying it would at least double the PS4. Not saying it's a bad week from the Wii U, 20k is decent all things considered, but it was below the (unrealistically high) expectations of many.

Alright week for sales, certainly nothing special though.

What's with those translations though? Why did they translate the X in Xenblade to Cross and what's with Main Craft and Brave Lee?

well in Katakana minecraft is written as "mainkurafuto" which google translate then identifies as main craft

similarly bravely is "bureiburii" -> brave lee

as for Xenoblade Cross, that _is_ the official title in Japan, not "eks"

This week really tells us so much about the Wii U in Japan.

What were people expecting?

More, a lot of people were extremely sure that XCX would do over 100k.

But I'm also talking about hardware, in march the PS4 had several weeks above 40k and was always above 30k thanks to game releases, showing that the main thing missing for the system is the software support. This week is Golden week, the Wii U had 2 relatively big releases, one exclusive that came with a bundle, and the system can barely scratch past 20k and can only barely outdo the PS4, that's just really telling imo.

Eh,they aren't  really disappointing, you could choose a moderate word,I can't fathom that and it's very weird saying it,i find that to be a hyperbole and don't you think that you generalize,People were saying-at least- :O?Or better some people were saying and without at least?

Most predictions were about 25k...+/- And what you point out is what some people were hoping but weren't expecting, since wii u it's in its third year...

Also,enough...;)

So I see that you edited your comments and now isn't misunderstandable...

Aha,so I guessed rightly,it seems that I'm so intelligent that I deciphered what you implied, great comparison dernebel, wii u is in its third year...

Hardware is about in line with what I expected for Wii U. XCX is about 15k less than my prediction, but oh well. It's not a bad FW. I believe it matched the original, which is good considering I saw some predictions that sales would be around 60-70k after its stay on COMG.
