Yes, it will not catch the GameCube. And no, it's not part of some "Nintendo trend" that apparently means they're gonna sell less and less with each console. I'm sure if Nintendo gets their act together, the NX Console will sell much better.

I am pretty sure Virtual Boy is by far the worst selling Nintendo home console :).

If you call shovelware support. |
Just because those weren the games YOU wanted to play, doesnt mean it wasnt support. Were they Wii games? Were they not made by 3rd party? Funny thing is people dont want to admit it but those shovelware games actually sold, so yeah it got support.

For every shovelware game that sold, a hundred didn't.

I would argue that so far.... WIi & SNES where much better consols, judgeing on games out for them.
Wii U doesnt even have its own zelda game yet, and the Mario games where kinda a let down.

The Wii actually had quite a bit of 3rd party games and they were enjoyable, too. Its library had a really good balance between 1st and 3rd parties.
- Red Steel 1 & 2
- Monster Hunter Tri
- No More Heroes 1 & 2
- SIlent Hill Shattered Memories
- Epic Mickey
- Muramasa: The Demon Blade
- The Last Story
- Okami
- House of the Dead: Overkill
Edit: After doing some more research, I found some more (and it made me wish I didn't miss these games last gen).
- A Boy and His Blob
- Madworld
- Little King's Story
- Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars

The first Red Steel was bad. Wii U has MH3U. Epic Mickey was bad. Okami is a PS2 port.

Agreed with the first one. Okay...?? (confused tone) with the next three.

While you may have prefered it, there is no way the WiiU is going down with the kind of legacy the N64 did - the N64 is home to some of thegreatest games of all time, including arguably the greatest game of all time in OoT. Then you add goldeneye, M64, MK64, Perfect Dark, Banjo, Zelda MM, etc. The N64 has possibly the greatest AAA catalog of any console in history, it was just missing everything in between.

e
you could say that for most games. The cool thing about shovelware is ti doesnt even need to sell that much to turn a profit. Just Dance just needs to sell 250,000 copies to make money so i can only imagine how much the cheaper games need to sell to see profit, considering there were so many i would guess not a lot.
