100% with you on this one. What I don't get is the people praising the limited gameplay ssegments which I found to be some of the worst third person shooter segments around.
I kind of enjoyed the story and setting a bit though, till it turned out it wasnt even going to bother finishing it...

I'm also glad it flopped.

It actually didnt, it outsold bayonetta 2 and sunset overdrive actually

I'm not arguing for gatito's case, but you can't compare three different games with three different budgets.

Other than OQ there's no real competition

OQ?

i played killzone and infamous and both are better games than The Order.

I bought it a while back. Got to the part where I had to blow the bridge with thermite. Wasn't able to make myself play any further. I wanna finish the story but it's been a while. I loaned it to a friend in early april. He beat it and gave it back, already. The new photo mode update is nice but I just keep finding better ways to spend my free time. One day, when things are slow, I'll finish it.

Not a bad game. Just not a very compelling game.

I enjoyed the game but it was just too short. If it was four hours longer I would give it a 8.5. It took me almost 11 hrs to beat it because I was trying to platinum it the first play through.

I compare them because they are Third party exclusives, less platforms less sales. All 3 should have similiar budgets too imo.

Whether something can be considered a success or a failure depends primarily on the profit expectations and how closely they are met/exceeded. For that reason you must not only consider sales, but also costs involved. I really don't think Bayonetta 2 and The Order have similar budgets. Even if the games had cost the same to create, it is quite obvious that The Order had a larger advertisement push and therefore larger advertisement costs. Not too sure about Sunset Overdrive, although I did see that game advertised more than either of the first two, so it's definitely possible that it exceeded The Order's total costs. Additionally, it is certainly possible that all three games "flopped" and just because The Order sold more than the other two does not mean that it is a success.
