I already see all thread about this last year.
And those people was all Nintendo guys, or some XBOX haters, and still, even they didn't SERIUSLY believed this. Also, this was just a VGChartz type.
On gaf for example, that's never happen, but on gaf like in VGChartz, you can see how 90 - 95 % of people expect 360 > XBO lifetime.

Yes, a lot of wishful thinking.

And I'm telling you it doesn't mean much when xb360 best years were at the second half. xb1 has nothing that will give that kind of boost at the second half. When you look at the markeshare proportion last gen compare to this gen, you know right away that xb1 won't beat xb360 unless you think that xb1 has a chance at europe which is almost impossible. if ps3 sold better in europe than xb360 even though it launched 1 year and half later at 200 euros more expensive and against the kinect at the second half, you know that in this gen, xb1 has no chance whatsoever to regain that marketshare that it once had. Considering the markeshare lost in europe and how ps4 is competing against xb1 in america (last gen it was a no contest), then you can conclude that xb1 chances selling better than 360 is very low.
" knowing microsoft they will buy out games and such to keep the momentum up". I wouldn't be so sure about that considering they are more focus in first party games and even if that's true, it hasn't worked for them in the past, I don't see why it would work now.

Im sorry, are you a psychic? Xbox one can have many things going for them in the second half. As it stands Xbox One is proving itself more and more. They will do what it takes. They already bought Gears of war and Minecraft. Maybe they will buy more games or push holo lens more. Hell, they can have blu ray less xbox one and sell it for $100 dollars. Consoles sales always go up towards the middle and end because it is when they are the cheapest and have the biggest games coming out.

To analyse the generation, you don't need to be a psychic but I get it, everything you have said is based on hopes which is fine but as it stands right now, it's unlikely that it will beat xb360. The only wild card that xb1 has is holo lens but let see if MS can have the same luck it has last gen with kinect.

Microsoft can have a lot more than that going for them than that. If I were to guess, I think Microsoft will buy a major third party game as an exclusive IP. They're obviously after big name titles to push window platforms (mobile, consoles, pc). I am going to make a bold prediction and say they will buy a company like besethda games. They are privatley own so it is easy for them to purchase them.
The most interesting thing about this thread is that the most voted option is "above 360" and its surprising like all other Xbox polls it hasn't been trolled with 80% vote of "below xbox"
OT: 2010, 2011 and 2012 will be very hard to beat and is unlikely to do so but I don't see any reason why the Xbox One can't continue to grow and be up yearly on 360's 2007, 2008 and 2009 sales. By end of next year we will also see almost all of last gen users switch in the 2016 holiday period along with people who already own 8th gen console's starting buy buy a 2nd or 3rd console for exclusives especially when the slim edition's and next pricecut arrives along with wider game libary making it worth their purchase.

If they don't goal themselves on how many units Sony sells (which is wise) I'm quite sure they won't "do what it takes" to match 360 sales either if it would mean taking a loss or minimal profits.
