Shite on a stick, nearly $500k. I have a feeling they had money to invest and had pending interest who were told to donate through kickstarter. And that ladies and gentlemen is a fantastic marketing mix.

Product? Shazam! The product is hitting the sweet spot. Clear, thought out, and accessible to all.

Price? Nice...affordable

Place? Obvious and cheap placement. Investors seem comfortable with it.

Promotion? Hype through massive early on investment, probably in purpose to chug the hype train. The massive investment will result in piles of free advertisement creating a snoball effect.

Ok im happy now xD  We will be getting physical releases if it reaches the goal xD  Im not sure if i missed that o they updated it

But it’s not over yet: Crowdfunding will help us increase the scope of Yooka-Laylee, and if we do even better we'll be able to deliver some real dream features like a fully orchestrated soundtrack and simultaneous, physical release on all platforms

I knew it would be good once I saw David Wise's picture there. Like I said, he's a legend.
