But a bear + bird (both named after musical instruments) was a reasonable combo?

Yes, because the bear wore shorts and a backpack with a bird in it. Sounds stupid, but the developers had a plan for what they were going to do. On the other hand, two nudists going on a journey is too cliche.

I agree the design isn't the best, but the rest looked really cool! Simplistic, but beatiful art style.

Ugh it feels like an ios rip off of an already established franchise......
I'm sure it will be a good game, but the whole time I'll just be wanting banjo kazooie. I hate that it has come to this....

Not keen on the design but lets see if it delivers where the gameplay and feel is concerned.

Man tough crowd, I think the characters look fine. The first thing that came to mind was Spyro the Dragon though.

Some people are never satisfied.

I love 3D platformers, so I'm very happy with this. I hope one of the stretch goals is a retail copy.

So if they give them clothes (and a way to stick both of them together) it would be better?

It's still very early on development, so they could add more features to the characters.

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Hat In Time still looks better than this, but 2 exploration platformer games >>>>> 0.

Will be pledging at whatever the soundtrack tier is.

I think it's great that things like Unity and Kickstarter can allow team sizes to go back to what they were in the 90s, and thus produce quality games in the more niche genres.

Graphically it isn't even close and this game is still a way's off.

Yooka-Laylee looks much better.

I meant looks better as an upcoming game (that said I still prefer Hat's art style)

Excited.... Banjo kazooie destroyed jak and ratchet...... They don't compare... If this game is anywhere near as goof as kazooie this would be the best platformed in years on ps

mM

I...erm...well that's something I suppose...

Will be keeping an eye on this but ain't holding out a whole lot of hope.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Better than i expected, honestly

"Hardware design isn’t about making the most powerful thing you can.
Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
