Forums - Gaming - FFXV ATR Preliminary Feedback: New Voice Overs & More

Where did you think you heard talks about porting it to PC?

Good. No reason Noctis should sound like a 40 year old man.

Thanks for the cliffs, but the video has a bunch of good information too. Pretty nice of them to go so in-depth with it.

"We'll toss the dice however they fall,
And snuggle the girls be they short or tall,
Then follow young Mat whenever he calls,
To dance with Jak o' the Shadows."

  1. Voice Acting: In response to a popular complaint that Noctis' voice was too deep, Tabata announced that final game already has different voice acting.
  2. Camera: There are plans to pull the camera back during combat, as well as the possibility of camera controls for the player.
  3. Mini map: Will be added, but no radar.
  4. Difficulty: Japan complained that the game was too hard, NA complained it was too easy. They said it is possible that they will add a difficulty option.
  5. Demo Version 2.0: The devs would like to update the demo in mid to late May as a show of thanks to those who partook in the survey, and to show that they take feedback seriously.

1. Good. Even though I'm sick of the typical anime main character voices (may edit link examples in later), Noctis' VA didn't fit him at all.

2. Camera improvements, thank God. I figured the framerate & jaggies would be sorted, but the camera was another thing altogether.

3. A minimap is a welcome addition.

4. LOL, what a difference! What a difference. Remember how NA initially got the baby version of Final Fantasy 4 (renamed 2)? How parts of FF7 was simplified for the NA audience? LOL

5. This is where I well and truly begin to believe Square Enix has changed for the better. Whereas Capcom & especially Konami seem to be withering away, SE is carefully rebuilding their fanbase.

They definitely appear to be trying their hardest. After FFXIV bombed and they did a full re-release, I think they have been dedicated to not have a repeat performance. And I am very happy about that. I hope they can retake some of the status they held 15 years ago when they were just Square
