Dunno yet. I heard that MS has rights until 2016, but then someone else said their rights ended with Advanced Warfare. Worth noting that Xbox YT channel has had the reveal trailer up for 4 hours while PS does not.

Was about to say that. But also they've had the marketing rights since like 2007 or even before, so why would they switch?

As I said in another thread, the only way I can see Microsoft letting go of COD marketing rights is only if they have something bigger either exclusive/or exclusive marketing for.

So if Microsoft doesn't have it and Sony does then that must mean Microsoft is confident that they don't need it because they have something bigger. Could be a megaton as well, something like Fallout 4 or anything like that. (That doesn't mean I think Fallout 4 will be Xbox One exclusive. I don't, i'm just using it as an example or how big of a megaton the game could possibly be if it was something like that. There's always a possibility though.)

Because this is a current gen game only and the PS4 has twice the install base of XBO? And the PS4 is still outselling the XBO in the US which is really the only other competitive area of MS. Sony probably outbid them.

I'd say Microsoft but given what we know so far. I'd say either no one or Sony. As I've said in other posts, it's going to be increasing difficult for MS to hold on to any exclusives. The bigger the lead the PS4 gets over the XBO, the more money it's going to take to get exclusive content.

I'm not suprised that people care at all, but the site was filled with threads about this before. Just didn't think people cared that much/

I think MS will still have it. It wouldn't make much sense to drop the CoD deal this year of all the years they could have dropped it, the first year that CoD is next-gen only, which means that whichever console has the marketing deal this year will be the console that most last-gen CoD players upgrade to.

sony had marketing for AC for years but last year MS had it instead.  also who says this is about MS dropping the deal.  if MS isn't the marketing partner 10:1 says it is because activision transferred the deal when sony offered more monies.

A lot of people are making a big deal of it. Wait till E3 to see the result (I still think its Microsoft though).
