After what seems like negative news after negative news on the newly announced Star Wars Battlefront game Jesper Nielson took to Reddit to reply to fans who are worried it will just be a re-skin of Dice's popular Battlefield franchise.  This is what he had to say

"I simply don't get the Battlefield re-skin comment. From what we've shown, in what way does it look like Battlefield? Are you seeing tanks, lots of destruction, etc? This will not feel like or play like Battlefield. That's never been our intention."

"To some extent, all shooters are similar,Heck, to some extent, all games are similar. To my mom, all games are probably more or less the same, right? So it always depends on the person looking at it. I'm pretty sure a hardcore Counterstike  player would say the differences between Counter-Strike and Battlefield or Halo or Call of Duty are like day and night. It's always about the lens you use, how far you zoom in. To some people, the details matter less--to others they matter more."

Well yeah. It's a reskin of MoH.

It's apparently 'the cool thing' to hate on this game.
Even though, the developers, DICE, have consistently made good games, suddenly people feel it's gonna be bad with little to no justification or reasoning.

He is the producer so I doubt he wouldn't say that regardless

Its a "cool thing" to hate on EVERY game honestly. Its pretty sad

Well he shouldn't have to - People are so stupid if they think this will be a reskin.

There's more chance of bf4 being a reskin of bf3, but it's not. Dice are consistently good developers, the negatives about their game are 1) lackluster story although its fine because the game is 99% mp 2) The sheer amount of DLC (which is more of an EA issue, but no one can doubt the dlc adds more than just 'maps' unlike cod)

I wouldnt say that consistently are ''good developers''. But I agree that people shouldnt jump on the ''its a reskin'' thing just yet

To be fair i thought it was going to be a re-skin.  Though i havent jumped on the hate train either.  Think people should just wait for the trailer personally, though im neither excited or upset with it so far since i never played the old games either.
