In USA. We have nothing about EU release.

Man, have they said anything about the game not coming to EU this year? Would you please stop being so negative about things that nobody have said?

Around the Network

it will be a fall release and it will be used to replace zelda for the holiday season

Of course that will come this year at west, game is releasing in Japan this month, and full localization takes around 3 months, I guess they will release game sometime around October.

Well I think we can classify this as a "tee up" for future information, namely E3. I think they just wanted to make it clear that the western version *is* underway and are still committed to it being a major release in the west. Basically, I think it is mainly a response to some of the grumblings about Japan getting all the directs and trailers and so on. Oh well, it's good for those who weren't following the Japanese stuff.

Well... that was a waste of time. Anyone who watched tge japanese directs already knew this stuff.

I thought it was fun and interesting watching it in practice. There is a difference between having it told to you and watching how it plays out, practically. '

Also there were a few things that were new information. It was nice to see the actual scale of the world, something the Japanese directs only alluded to through maps.

We had already seen it last E3 and if you have played the original game you know how it goes. Dont misunderstand, i love it. But it was just torture watching it, not beeing able to play nor even getting a release date. Oh well...

Last E3 was a very limited area. The open world in this game is very much different from the semi open world of Xenoblade.

The whole map is open from the beginning of the game and XCX has far fewer boundaries and much more verticality. I'd say the differences in how you will move throughout the world are pretty massive.

Sundin explained it well enough. I'll like to add that there are no load-times and there is a level of verticality provided by  skells.
