Forums - Gaming - Could Wii Fit suck?

Wii Fit could not suck unless you had no legs. It should be one of the 5 top selling games of 2008. It is also my most hyped game! I am so looking forward to renting every game that works with the balance board.

I could see the headlines now......"Nintendo is ruining the industry! First hardcore gamers, now disabled people! They just don't care! What's next?!?"

For crying out loud;)

starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS

The only problem I see is that the game itself will probably be in the $80 range. That could put some people off. I don't think it will have the same kind of multiplayer aspect as Wii Sports either, which brought a lot of people into the fold, since it requires a peripheral rather than just another controller. The technology doesn't look cheap either, so I imagine a standalone balance board will be at least $30.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

You really think the board will be around $30? I imagine it would cost more that a wiimote, probably as much as a wiimote + nunchuk, in the range of $50-$60 for a stand alone board.

I put up a North American review that said it's A: a lot of fun and B: actually a really effective and engaging way to work out.

It'll be awesome. I assure you.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

It will sell like hot cake, really,

but I m not it can be rated and I m not sure many hardcore will like it.

but since many Wii owners are casual ... I suppose it is ok.

Time to Work !

Many people who played the Japanese version liked it, some things you NEED to know Japanese to know what to do but even while being limited like that they had fun. It's not going to be a looker obviously, but I get a lot of customers coming in excited about it, all of them are of course the older crowd but its something everyone can get into, so yeah it'll sell and will probably have good legs.
