If you want to go treasure hunting:

Go to the BLADE terminal and search for level 60, Dual Guns and Shield and hire Layfon, he wears armor with treasure sensor VI and 5 treasure sensor XX augments.

I haven't bothered with the skill. Does it made a big difference?

Sure, Puges drop intergalactic Skell weapons every single time when I have that guy in my party. And there are two qualties of intergalactic weapons. I've got the better only with lots of treasure sensors.

EDIT: actually 3 qualities or more, level 51 Puges in Cauldros drop even better ones.

Okay, so I'd been avoiding Affinity Missions like the plague since I got one that forced me to go to Sylvalum when I'd only just reached Oblivia. (They really should have fixed this and not allowed you to join Affinity Quests you are not ready for, or at least let you back out of them)

Anyway, I finally got over my phobia and started doing them again, and now I see why I felt like the main plot was so thin; a lot of the character development is relegated to the Affinity Missions. Enjoying the game a lot more now.

For me it has always been the other way around, I do all the affinity missions I can before going into the main story, they are the best part of the game. I remember that mission in sylvalum and I remember swimming for a while to get there, it was a little annoying but once I got there I explored for a while and installed some probes.

I almost forgot about hearing about the infinity mission that take you all the way over to that continent... I basicly do all the infinity missions I see and all the side missions I can do before I go onto the next mission... Might consider holding off on the infinity missions. I'm only 1/3 through oblivia.

Only one of them so far was actually interesting. just did the one on following mustache man around and it was actually really good.

The only affinity mission early on that sends you to Sylvalum is the one about Alexa in the industrial area. By the time the next one is available, you should already be able to access the mission for the skell license.

That's the one I fell for. Fuck that thing. 10 minutes of swimming across the ocean brought back repressed traumatic memories of Wind Waker. It should be locked until you get your Skell license.

Can you even get your license without hitting up Sylvalum though? I forget, but I suspect this might be a chicken-and-egg thing.

Pretty sure you can, but if not, making the player swim from Oblivia to Sylvalum is just terrible game design.

Beat the game a few days ago; the final boss fight was awesome. Despite over-preparing everyone in my team with lv50 skells, I did not use many arts just to prolong the battle in order to hear that music. THAT MUSIC.

Sawano should return for the sequel, but he should not be the one composing all the tracks in the game.

Post game affintiy missions are a trap... Why is there two lv80 monsters I have to beat?! I guess it's time for me to grind to get the best armors and such.

Fuck the drop rates in this game. Warping to the same place to kill the same three enemies over and over again for an hour isn't fun.

Worse is that they only appear at night, but unlike the first game where you could change the time at will, I have to hoof it to the nearest fucking base camp to skip the to night again.

Even worse it being thrown out into the wild to find a speckled flappygoat or some shit with no indication of where they are, and no follow ball.

I swear, as great as this game is at times, there are also times where it is unbelievably annoying.
