I mean moment when Vita reaches low health, shield appear around her. Regular spheres on arena gets 1 damage from any hit, central sphere still shielded. My first thoughts was to destroy all the spheres and finish Vita after that. 

I'm on lvl 50 Doll without G-buster.

You can kill him before the shield is activated with strong gravitational weapons.

I think it's because you deal so much damage at once that he doesn't reach the point where he usually activates it. Destroy the orb like enemy in the middle if he still activates it. EDIT: it's resistant against your attack type if you do only 1 damage. But I don't know the resistances at the moment, mechanoids are usually resistant against physical, thermal and ether damage.

Any ways I think I just finished chapter 4.... Level 23 so far. Liking the game a lot so far.

I agree most of the side missions are actually pretty interesting (especially later in the game) and voice acting would be great

If you want to go treasure hunting:

Go to the BLADE terminal and search for level 60, Dual Guns and Shield and hire Layfon, he wears armor with treasure sensor VI and 5 treasure sensor XX augments.

EDIT: NTR is even better: level 60, Titan Jaguar, Dual Guns, Shield.

I'm 130 hours in and loving it.

It looks like the nopon will be the standard mascotte of the Xenoblade series akin like the chocobo in FF. I like the little guys :).

I haven't bothered with the skill. Does it made a big difference?
