2018, most likely at the start of next gen. The next Pokemon we get this gen will either be X2/Y2 or Z (or both).

I personally think 2017 is when the next handheld will come out, but 2016 isn't really out of the question.

I wouldn't mind a 2018 release date. I think it gives enough time for gen 6 to fade away, but we need the Pokemon Z or something like that before this generation is over. There is just too many questions left unanswered!!

Jk again I hope? They haven't even released X2-Y2/Z yet. They'll be taking a break this year, release the aforementioned next year, then in the following year (2017) will they give us Gen7, possibly as a launch title for the NX.

i think we are going to see the 3rd version of the Gen VI games (Pokemon Z) released in either October or March. it just seems to be the recurring release dates. then i think we will have the next games (rumored to be Pokemon Plus and Minus) in early 2017

Of course I'm not refering to starters, those are always grass/fire/water. I meant the usual legendary trio.
