Wow, Japan is really showing love for Splatoon. I mean, it's ranking well on COMG, Amazon JP and Famitsu's Most Wanted and now the Inklings show up on this Japanese Smash poll. Very good signs. I'd like to see them in the game as well.

If Toad happened I'd be delighted. If he wasn't in the next game I'd just shrug and be glad I finally got him in a game. My main reason for wanting him in Smash is because I'd beat my friends in Mario Kart. Then they would mock that Toad isn't available in Smash so we'll never know who is really the best. If he happens then I can always use this one game to resolve disputes that have raged since 1992.

As for Geno? Meh. I preferred Mallow. His armor was pants.

People should understand what a clone character is before they throw that term around, a clone character has identical attributes and and move set to another. A character being similar doesn't make them a clone, an example is people tout Lucina as one but the's no way you can play Lucina like Marth as you'll get dismantled, the attributes change the approach of play with Marth having to focus on spacing, poking and being more strategic while Lucina has to be hyper aggressive and get right on top of the opponent.

Where people got the notion that Wolf is a clone is baffling, of any previous characters Ice Climbers even as a U exclusive would be what I'd ask for even if it means they give the 3DS a unique character to make up for it. My choices as far as a new character goes would be Bayonetta, Isa from S&P2 and Aeron from Pandora's Tower.

People are taking the term clone too literally. Most people just don't want another character with essentially the same moveset. they've been called clones by fans ever since melee.

Fans could have been saying it since the dawn of time it still makes no difference the use is incorrect as in FGC terms a clone is an exact duplicate, many Smash fans are also casual players so wouldn't understand the concept behind why such characters are in the games.

not necessarily worthless if the move sets are changed up.  I love the CHARACTER wolf.  I'd really prefer they don't make him some kind of clone, but i'd love to see the character back.  I'm not a fire emblem fan, but i definately empathize for those fans.  I also think bandana-dee is an interesting choice, if not a bit lackluster.  Who would you like to see?  I'm really not sure myself.  Little Birdy from otherM would be cool, or wart and mouser (mousers his name right?) from mario bros 2.
